March 19, 2025

Our operating vessel M/T “ENSEMBLE” was contributed in rescue operation off Pacific West Coast on March15, 2025.

On March 15, 2025, at 16:40 LT, the vessel reported sighting a few survivors drifting in the water, approximately 130 nautical miles off the West Pacific Coast from Buenaventura, while en route from Long Beach.
Unix Line Pte Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of MOL Chemical Tankers, as in-house Ship Manager
, directed the Master to proceed with the rescue operation and provide all possible assistance, and the vessel successfully rescued three survivors.

The vessel continued its search for additional survivors until dusk, at which point the search was called off based on the recommendation of the local agent, and the vessel proceeded toward Buenaventura. As it was later confirmed that there were only three, all of them were safely rescued.

The survivors were provided with the necessary humanitarian aid onboard. They were later confirmed to be Panamanian nationals, who stated they had been the only three aboard their fishing boat, which had sunk, leaving them adrift at sea for the past seven days.

On March 16, 2025, after the vessel berthed at Buenaventura, two Colombian Coast Guard officers boarded to investigate the survivors and disembarked with them.

In recognition of this remarkable effort, the vessel has received an appreciation letter from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the flag state.

This rescue operation is a commendable achievement by the crew and UNIX Line, who dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to saving three lives.
